Assessing in Educational Facilities A puddle of spit covers my book as I wake up to the buzzing of my alarm. Oh no! My mind was thick and waking up was not something I wished to do, particularly when I realized that I fell asleep while I was studying for my chemistry test. I had fifteen minutes to get ready for college. Now showering wasn't going to be my priority. I had fifteen minutes to memorize as much advice as I possibly can. However, I knew it was not going to be simple, in fact, merely impossible. So, I threw on my clothes, grabbed a piece of gum, and tossed my books in my purse. Now was not going to be a fantastic day. Since the day we're born we are watched. We're observed, then examined, then soon analyzed. All these things are simply achieved for our own good. They are there to ensure that we, as children, are off on the ideal start. But, at what age does this turn bad? When analyzing gives us the incorrect ideas about competitiveness, when testing is utilized to compare us to others, and when analyzing puts unnecessary pressures and pressure on us, it is no longer good overall. Because of these reasons, and many more, testing in educational facilities is detrimental to the learning process. On the opposing side, testing is not regarded to be detrimental to the learning process. Some believe it to be crucial to understanding. Testing is often deemed to be used only as a step of progress throughout the development of learning. Many people see grading and testing for a motivation to permit students to strive to be the very best and push to be greater than those around them.
