Hinduism is a religion filled with many philosophical ideas about the soul, and following your duties, achieving liberation and comprehending the consequences of karma. Many of the beliefs in Hinduism makes a person think of life and their own actions they do regular since it can influence your everyday life. Hinduism sometimes also makes one wonder if all of these various beliefs and philosophical thoughts are accurate or not and should youn't follow with your duties (dharma), even if impacts truly do occur or not at the current life and the next life. Atman, that is the spirit, is always craving for things and constantly wants something even after we obtain our needs; it's a noninvasive procedure (Embree 33). The Self (atman) has been taken over by pleasure and pain, which can be authentic in life since there are constantly desires which give us pleasure and make us happy (evenEmbree 36). But one also must remember that life has its ups and downs meaning, there always will be a time of pain in existence. Nobody is ever satisfied in existence, we're always needing more and more every day. According to the Upanishadic thinker the material world isn't extremely significant, just you, your spirit, and the activities you're doing are significant (Embree 36). Nothing else is more important in the world than your own personality, which is the self (atman). I don't fully agree with all the Upanishadic thinker that the material world isn't important. Regardless of as our activities and the way our soul feels in certain conditions, it all comes from the material universe. Yes, our activities are just as important however, the material world drives us to our activities that the spirit does.
