I have chosen to explore the Crown Heights riots of 1991 simply because I believe that the events are more recent and therefore, maintain themselves to be more valid and current with all the anti-sentiment exhibited towards the Jews now. For this day, we don't know the cause of the riots, what ignited the rioters or what the hidden meaning behind the actual incident was.
