A great poem shocks us to another order of perception. It points outside terminology to something still more essential. It ushers us into an experience so moving and accurate that people feel at ease. In bad or indifferent poetry, the words are all there really is. Edgar Allan Poe's poem "Annabel Lee" is a terrific poem, not as it's popular or it is timeless, but as a result of its message that is overburdened. The dream setting intensifies their connection and also indicates that both Annabel Lee and Poe came from two distinct worlds, but through love, it became simple to understand each other as a marriage of both places. They "loved with a passion that was more than love" (Poe 9), a love so strong and strong that nothing could arrive in between. Actually, the emotion that they shared amongst each other was more than just adore. "But our love it was stronger by far than the love" (Poe 27). That emotion was much greater than.
