Report about the Grateful Dead I have chosen to do my research on the Grateful Dead. They were also a rock and roll group from the sixties that stayed popular and still influenced rock and roll before 1995 when the lead singer, Jerry Garcia, died along with the band dissolved. The Dead stayed popular for so long because of the style of their live concerts that left folks keep returning. Back in 1959 if Jerry Garcia was thrown from the army, he picked up his guitar and started playing music with his friend Robert Hunter. Robbert Hunter and many others volunteered to attempt them. Before long the entire music group has been engaging in "acid tests" and their music became diffused, the figures stretched out along with the volume turned up. Jerry Garcia became known as "Captain Trips" and they played with in the Ken Kesey coordinated trips festival. In February 1966 the Warlocks had to change their...
