In 1818 Frankenstein was compiled by Mary Shelley. In Frankenstein, Victor Frankenstein provides a creature alive. The creature kills William, Henry Clerval, and Elizabeth. Victor had promised to create a feminine creature for the creature, but he didn't fulfill his guarantee. This makes the creature enraged. The creature operates away and Victor comes after him. Victor gets on a boat with Walton. Victor dies and the creature comes and is quite unfortunate that his creator offers passed away. The creature says that he must end his suffering and he jumps in to the sea. In the novel Frankenstein, Shelley uses the theme of character showing how it is just like the characters of the tale and how it impacts the individuals. The theme of character is proven throughout Frankenstein to signify the creature. Including the light and storm are just like the creature. That is illustrated when Victor says, In this short voyage I saw the lightnings playing on the summit of Mount Blanc in the most amazing figures. The storm seemed to approach rapidly; and, on landing, I ascended a minimal hill, that I might observe its progress. It advanced; the heavens had been clouded, and I felt the rainfall coming slowly in large drops soon, but its violence quickly improved. (49) The lightning and storm are just like the creature.
