MALLARD'S "BRIEF MOMENT OF ILLUMINATION" Mrs. Mallard's "brief period of illumination" is a really deep and touching tale about a woman who's forced to be wed to a man she didn't actually know and did not love deeply with all her heart, like she is bound with unhappiness for life! Now she has been free. The narrator portrays that has been feeling a kind of liberty that she couldn't clarify, but does not know how to deal with it.
