In this short article I will compare and contrast the differences between 'The Charge of the Light Brigade' and 'The Destruction of Sennacherib'. 'The Charge of the Light Brigade' is composed by Poet Lauriat Lord Tennyson and 'The Destruction of Sennacherib' is composed by Lord Byron. They both contain different poetic methods and compose about a battle in completely different manners. The historical situation behind 'The Charge of the Light Brigade' is that it's a struggle in October 1854, which was a disastrous charge of British cavalry headed by Lord Cardigan against Russian forces during the Battle of Balaclava in the Crimean War, Tennyson wrote the poem pointing from the brave and the dreadful. The historical content supporting 'The Destruction of Sennacherib' is a poem by Lord Byron first printed in 1815 in his Hebrew Melodies. It is founded in an event described in the bible during the effort led by King Sennacherib to capture Jerusalem. The first Poem is written by Poet Loriet Alfred Lord Tennyson following the Crimson war. It was composed to compliment the British campaign in the suicidal rush to the 'Jaws of Death', were they all sadly expired. It had been written in a favorable attitude towards the British making them sound noble and brave with out mentioning who it was that made the arrangement which killed the men. There are subtle hints from the poem nonetheless saying that he agrees it was in fact a mistake like 'O the wild charge they made!' Which says it was in fact a wild bill, 'All the world thought', states that the world wondered why someone would ever send a military on a suicide march and a coincidence as the first word of the previous line in the last 3 verses state 'Not Heard Noble'.
