The Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison The aim of each individual is to discover their place in society. The journey itself is a hard one, but sometimes unforeseen obstacles make this trip nearly impossible. The publication, The Invisible Man, takes us along the trip with a man without any name. You may believe that it's odd not to provide the most important character of a publication a name, but if you consider it, what purpose does a title serve? Is not is stated that a guy's actions speak louder than his words? In this narrative, the guy's actions go together with his words, to create him desirable by some, feared and despised by others. The journey starts with the man fighting for his very schooling. Earning a scholarship meant to destroy the competition. It revealed that to get an education he had to behave the specific opposite of an educated man. He had to rely upon his own primitive brutality to cover his schooling. He was then mocked by needing to recite a speech he was to memorize, which revealed the complete disrespect the men and women who were providing the scholarship had for the future students. After getting into school, a simple job turned in an unforeseen disaster that would alter his life forever. He had been to chauffeur Mr. Norton, a creator of the college he attended. Mr. Norton was a well educated but very dumb guy. He felt that the college was doing all of the good that could be carried out. He also had no notion of the evils that dwelled upon the grounds. Dr. Bledsoe, the mind of the faculty, had organized for Mr. Norton to opt to get a tour of the grounds, but did not expect for him to watch вЂњeverythingвЂќ in the college. Mr. Norton asked to observe some of the unseen regions of the college, so the driver had to oblige him. Their they met with a man having an abysmal past. Mr. Norton was dumb founded, he had no idea something like this could occur at his school. This just shows the many evils we come across in our own lives which look like shadows, shooting us complete surprise. The phrase, вЂњOut of sight from mindвЂќ, seems to hold great relevance. When you opt to ignore the terrible things in life you become feeble, and if they finally do hit you, then you might not ever recover from the blow.
