Since a kid I could remember being fascinated by the slogan "In God we Trust" printed on dollar bills and engraved on coins. What God can we trust in? Is the God we trust in Jesus? Why is it that we trust in him? These were only a few questions which came into my mind. Considering all the greed and capitalistic corruption that exist in society, how could men war over cash which reminds us "In God we Trust". I had been under the premise that this announcement was symbolic of the power God had inside the system of trade. Certainly if God has no place in business, we wouldn't proclaim our trust for him about the very money we invest. I suggest that it is ethically sound for the motto "In God We Trust" to be published on our money in the USA. Perhaps you have forgotten the scriptures? The book of Ecclesiastes 10:19 says, "? But money answereth all things." ? The scriptures have consistently expressed provision for the issues of guy in this natural world. So is it far-fetched to believe that the very fabric of business is woven into the bases of Judeo-Christian belief? For those that prefer "no", I then ask; why has this affirmation "Of God we Trust" nevertheless published on our currency in the USA? Obviously our founding fathers experienced a higher moral premise in your mind when this was decided on. Taking these factors into consideration, has lead me to inquire into the validity and value of this statement. Is it true that the motto, "In God we Trust" prove to be an ethical fallacy since it pertains to principals of business? To that question I mention "no".
