Peter Alexeevich, also called Peter the Great, is usually recognized to be the most exceptional of the Russian czars (Mano, 2010). For 29 years Peter ruled Russia. When Peter first came to unshared energy, he believed that Russia was quite medieval in comparison with the remainder of Europe. Following his first year in power, he chose to leave Russia to discover what was happening in the western side of Europe.
