This terrorists' assault has changed many aspects of people's lives globally. It not only influenced the US but everybody around the world. During the wake, we learned that we lost among our indigenous virgin islanders. US Army, Staff Sargent Maudlyn A. White, 38, born on St. Croix died on active duty in the Pentagon. She was described as a quiet person who had been independent. Not only were the Virgin Islands influenced by her death, but also the monetary reduction the islands began to experience. After September 11, the Caribbean was dramatically impacted; safety levels rose, tourism levels fell, and people became more hesitant about travelling. In accordance with Kimberly Amadeo, a news reporter, on the afternoon of September 11th terrorists hijacked four airplanes at Boston's Logan airport. Their goal was to cripple the U.S. market by destroying its centre power: Wall Street, the Pentagon and the White House. The first two planes successfully hit their targets. Nearly 2,600 people died at the World Trade Center, 125 died at the Pentagon and 256 expired on the four airplanes; bringing the death total to 3,081. This attack left U.S. citizens and survivors traumatized causing companies to close; that played a massive toll on the downturn.
