Math is just one of the fundamental subjects taught in elementary school and is still a requirement for overall academic survival. Young learners' future comprehension of mathematics demands a historical foundation based on a high quality, challenging, and accessible mathematics instruction (NCTM, 2013). An engaging and inviting learning environment helps children develop confidence in their own ability to comprehend and use mathematics. However, math turns out to be a tricky subject for most students. In a world full of technology, it has become increasingly important to incorporate technology based-teaching in the classroom. As new technologies go into the classroom that the issue is raised about how these technologies can be used to build math skills. When educators use these technologies strategically they can provide increased access to math for all students. This paper will examine the use of SMART Boards to ease mathematics learning and build math skills. Literature Review Compared with other technologies found from the classroom, SMART Boards were created for whole-class instruction and active involvement. The interactive nature of this engineering and state-of-the art software empower teachers to generate activities for pupils which are engaging, meaningful, and educational (Riska, 2010).
