Evaluation of Film Lawn Automobiles The very first thing we see in the start of the film is that it is dawn, and it is set in the suburbs. We are introduced into a small, middle class village, where you will find big homes with huge yards being watered with sprinklers. The lawns are neatly trimmed, to add emphasis to the middle class neighbourhood and that the folks living there are very wealthy, there is even a sense the neighbors are in competition with each other and are continuously attempting to out-do eachother. Following a few minutes of this introduction to the area and the primary characters, the audience is shown a gate and a very long country road leading out of the village. This eventually contributes to a bridge, and that has a lake underneath it, in which the water is quite dirty. Since it's sunrise once the audience gets there first look in the village, the light slowly grows more high essential, to provide the genuine effect of sunrise. The sound adds to the effect since there is slow conquer country music from the background, to emphasise the fact that it is only just dawn, this non-diagetic music gradually becomes more up beat as the scene gets busier. Additionally, there are diagetic sounds to add to the impact of sunrise, and these are nature sounds, like birds singing. Finally the music stops when we're introduced to Devon and the camera focuses on her and everything she's doing. Devon is dressed in a 'Young Rangers' uniform, which can be neatly ironed and she moves out to the village to market her cookies that she has made. Devon also has a well-spoken tone of voice, this shows that she has been brought up correctly and has been learnt to speak in the appropriate manne...
