Macbeth's Slow Terrible into Evil William Shakespeare presents the Spirit Macbeth with favorable qualities such as being a committed solider from King Duncan's army. Macbeth reveals his first great quality when he's on the battle by killing Macdonald. "Till he unseamed him from the nave to the chaps and then fixed his mind upon our battlements." (1.2.22) In Macbeth, Macbeth starts his wicked respectable after he meets with the three witches that prophesize that he is going to be titled Thane of Cawdor. "All hail, Macbeth, hail to thee, Thane of Cawdor!" (1.3.49) Rose affirms that the prophecy of the witches foretelling Macbeth getting future king by devoting him "Thane of Cawdor". Macbeth starts having serious doubts regarding the witch's prophesies stating," can't be ill; can't be great" (1.3.130--131).
