William Faulkner's novel "As I Lay Dying" centers on the death and ensuing burial of this matriarch of the Bundren family, Addie. The publication is written in first person perspective and will be narrated by relatives and acquaintances of Addie. It's during the narratives of those other characters that her character is shown.
