Raymond Carver with “Cathedral” and John Updike with “A&P” “Cathedral” and A&P both brief stories written through the same century. But despite the fact that they both expose stereotypical individuals that somehow alter their watch of the world, they have a lot more different aspects. The whole stories differ in atmosphere and the quantity of individuals involve in each story.
