Every word and phrase in a poem nearly, and even its punctuation includes a meaning and a note that the author is wanting to send across to the reading or listening audience. The song “ Every Grain of Sand” that's compiled by Bob Dylan has a right to be called poetry due to his careful usage of tone, symbolism, allusion, simile and enjambments. Tone is definitely an essential component of poetry. It pieces the feeling of the piece and provides the audience a feeling of the proceedings and the way the narrator seems. In “ Every Grain of Sand” the tone is usually among sadness and unhappiness. There is a specific desperate tone in the poem, as the narrator searches for assist in “the hour of [their] deepest need.” That is evident in the initial and second lines of the 1st stanza when it's written ”In enough time of my confession, in the hour of my deepest want / When pool of tears beneath my foot flood every newborn seed.” The “period of confession” pieces a solemn tone, for when a person is confessing it is a quiet usually, personal, and regretful period.
