William Blake is widely believed to be the most controversial author of his period due to the content included in his writing and his expression of good versus bad that is evident in his paintings. In my essay the "Proverbs of Hell" is a great and very telling illustration of Blake's flowing and natural poetry. He is considered by most a wonderful role model from the history of art and his writings during the Romanticism time period. Romanticism was a movement which was developed involving the eighteenth and nineteenth century. Romantic poets such as Blake were against the governmental, social, and religious abuses during their time. " He told his parents he visualized "Angels in a Tree" at the tender age of eight. He was homeschooled up before the age of twenty five and was writing poetry since he was twelvemonths, eventually being sent into a drawing school which set the foundation for his love of all artwork (French 51-54). He worked as a professional artist and engraver, later experiencing an impoverished way of life. He managed to invision that the afterlife of members of royalty. Because of the misunderstandings of his job people didn't embrace him or it and sadly thought it was strange, bizarre, weird, and downright baffling. At a far contrast from his artistic side his private life was considered bland and stale. He was politically rebellious and mixed with toxins of his time. Blake strongly and openly criticized the way the funds and industrialized system abused its people, murdered children, and forced prostitution.
