The Effect of Prejudice in Harper Lee's Novel, To Kill a Mockingbird The bias seen from the fictional novel To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee corresponds with the True narrow-mindedness during this Period of Time. With these two pieces of information, it is derived that individuals formed judgments and opinions of a person without just grounds; most commonly, they established them . He continued to demonstrate prejudice by setting the execution date for "the first date that he was allowed to name beneath the legislation" (First). Because this was a display of prejudice, it can be presumed that in the event that the convicts were white, the punishment might have been lessened and potentially delayed longer than the minimum time allowed.
