The Usage of a SMART Board in Teaching

The funding of this grant would purchase the purchase of a SMART Table Interactive Whiteboard over a mobile floor stand for the Pace College or university University of Education Department. The SMART Table allows professors to include and integrate multimedia system elements into lessons, such as videos and interactive presentations, because of this making lessons and lectures more interesting. Students can hear, see and participate with the information they may be learning for that particular course.

The SMART Mother board Interactive Whiteboard system includes Notebook software. This software provides a variety of tools to help differentiate instruction. By having a SMART Plank, professors and students have the ability to write with a digital pen or using their finger, onto the SMART Mother board screen. Files from Notebook can be preserved in different types, printed out, emailed or put up; therefore, giving students complete access to course materials. Essentially, whatever can be done on computers can be better by having a good Mother board available.

In the elementary and supplementary levels, teachers are constantly trying to create lessons and activities that meet up with the needs of most learners. I feel that at the high education level, this attitude gets lost. The majority of lessons are lecture established with essays and written examinations. Because of this set up, Personally i think that college students loose their love of learning and attendance and contribution in courses start to drop. If students was a visible learner in high school, he will still be a visual learner during college or university. The interactive whiteboard suits all different learners because it incorporates images, tones and stimulations. Students have the ability to see, hear and interact with what they are learning.

Pace School needs more technology. Rate College or university has been looking for ways to increase their enrollment numbers, as well as retention rates. Setting up and assimilating technology onto their campuses could be just one single factor in accomplishing those tasks. As a former Pace College or university learner ambassador and agent, I got constantly asked questions about the types of technology that are in the classrooms and what students are being exposed to. Insurance firms interactive SMART Boards on campus, I believe these questions would be taken out because you can in physical form see them. Rate University also has an entire school focused on Computer Technology and Information Systems. I feel that by having technology observed in the classroom, will also beautifully reflect the impact of that individual institution on campus.

The students at Pace University would benefit from the purchase of an interactive whiteboard in many ways. Students can look at attending category as something interesting. Students will also gain a much better understanding of the curriculum and ideas being taught, due to the range of tools and resources that the SMART Board has that can be contained into lessons. Rate University, itself, would benefit from having SMART Boards in campus because students will be focusing on their communication and technology skills for the 21st century, therefore separating themselves from graduates from other colleges and universities.

Pace University's motto is "Work toward Greatness". I think that by integrating the use of any interactive whiteboard into different classes that Pace has to offer its students, professors will inspire their students more. The Speed University University of Education's motto is "Creating reflective experts who promote justice, create nurturing classrooms and school communities and enable all students to reach your goals learners. " I assume that the students in this university, specifically, will profit tremendously from the interactive whiteboard. They will be exposed to a fresh technology that is widely being used in schools all throughout america. Students can have an available mind as it pertains to technology and integration in primary and high academic institutions. Not equipping these students with these skills would be bad for their wellbeing. The modern world is filled up with different kinds of technology, from mobile phones to IPads. Students are constantly encircled with technology throughout their daily lives, which only is practical to possess that same technology become a part of their education.
