The advantages of Tougher Prisons Essay

The purpose of the prison system was meant to be a prevention to crime, as a precautionary measure also to those who have currently committed criminal activity, it is designed to keep them by coming back. Naturally this did not work, today there are overcrowded jails and courts that look to some other way to punish a criminal besides jail time. The other options usually do not work both, they have not really reduced the prison populace nor they have created a kind of fear of getting punished a tougher program might do(Faugeron 5). I think the jail system ought to be made stronger, and that the alternatives to jail be used in situations where the criminal offense was very small and the felony would reap the benefits of some other sort of punishment than prison. In short they are genuine citizens except that the correctional facility chooses when they consume and sleeping. I think most prisons is going to take away the special privileges of prisoners because the system is supposed to deter criminals from committing crimes and instead will be inviting all of them for extended trips. The only way scammers are going to get the point through creating a prison system it does not allow whatever special pertaining to the people who may have committed criminal offenses and gets back the main of the goal for having prisons.
