In my analysis for how schools in my community include families, I discovered three methods I am going to refer to. The first is the Montessori Community School of Salt Lake City UT, Salt Lake City School District, and Hawthorn Senior high, a private university located in Salt Lake Town UT. These types of schools I have been using as my own resources will be three of the many different types of universities provided inside the Salt Pond Valley. They have similar and different policies relating to parent engagement.
The Salt Lake City School Area offers Early Childhood courses to "support children and their families, delivery through age group 5. Courses are designed to offer students the help they need to make them pertaining to school success. Parents are also provided details and support" (Salt Pond School Region Elementary Handbook).
The Montessori Community School and Hawthorn Schools does not manage to have particular early years as a child programs just like the Salt Pond City University District. It seems like these universities are both given to academics of youngsters and don't offer assistance to the families. If I would have been to have my children enroll in these schools or become a teacher for them, I might first find out into getting the schools adjust a Family Useful resource Center type programs which will provide support and resources for families (Gestwicki, C. )
The Montessori Community University has a plan that it requires a parent offer a minimum of 12 hrs. 12 months per child. The Hawthorn Academy needs more father or mother involvement necessitating a 30 hrs. every child. Mother and father are encouraged to volunteer in the schools inside the Salt Lake City College District, although I did not locate any specific requirements stating they had to. I think it is very important that parent's volunteer in their kid schools, and agree with the...
... a fantastic statement showing how important school and parent or guardian collaborating is important. Working with one another is vital to a child's education (Gestwicki, C. )
Hawthorn Academy provides a section in their handbook that provides Successful college year ideas which include "be positive regarding school and talk to your child's teacher usually, Together you are a group for your child's academic success" (Hawthorn School Family Handbook). These tips immediately require mother or father teacher communication.
All schools may have different methods on concerning parents and family within a child's education but all schools discuss the same significant goal to provide educational and academic experiences to children and assist these people in their growth and development. I don't know which school I will teach in, but I know for sure like a teacher, Let me require friends and family involvement inside my classroom.
