The Differing Methods of the Suffragists and Suffragettes

The group known as the suffragists of the NUWSS (National Union of

Could Suffrage Societies) consisted of 17 different communities

fighting for the same cause of gaining the right to vote. They had

combined together to become the NUWSS under the leadership of Mrs.

Millicent Fawcett.

The NUWSS were a peaceful protesting agency utilizing their newspaper The

Common Trigger as their primary type of protest. The suffragists did not

respect their act as an assault on males but as a reform to get the good of

everyone. That they wanted to convert public thoughts and opinions. They did not need to

antagonize men, although o encourage them in the sense with their arguments.

The suffragists campaigned peacefully because they were sure that

they would obtain their goals by being peaceful it also believed to

men that ladies were accountable enough to have the vote as they could

work with their minds rather than violence. The suffragists employed tactics including

public meetings, processions or perhaps marches, submitting views and ideas in

The Common Trigger and petioning in Legislative house. The NUWSS asked MP's who

showed sympathy towards women to put forward charges in

parliament, in total among years 1870 and 1914 thirty expenses were

exceeded before parliament and every sole one was blocked simply by people

other the suffragists.

The NUWSS were once of the tolerante party but because while using lack of

support with their cause of suffrage that pushed the ladies to anger.

When Herbert Asquith became Prime Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) the NUWSS became annoyed.

He was through the liberal party but entirely disagrees with the right

for women to vote. In 1912 NUWSS took the vote and broke away from
