The different types of books are seen in works such as books, biographies, poems, dramas, non-fictional and short stories. All the different types of literature mentioned are made of certain elements like theme, plot, character, setting, issues, etc. However, elements existing in each kind of work varies from one another. For example, the elements in a fiction, theatre, or short history may consist of a plot, character, theme, structure, preparing, conflict, and a point of view whereas some of the components of poetry consist of rhythm, rhyme, theme, simile, metaphor, and symbolism (DiYanni, 2007). In such a paper, the element of books that I am going to highlight, using two short reports and a poem is theme. Theme is the aspect of books that describes the primary idea in a literary work.

In the brief account, "The Lesson", compiled by Toni Cade Bambara, symbolism and theme were used to increase the depth and understanding of the reader. "The Lessons" is a lovely work of fiction because of its use of symbolism, terminology, and humanistic theme. The storyplot takes place in the internal city of NY and commences with several underprivileged, uneducated, poor kids. Mrs. Moore, the educator, feels like it is her work to teach these children because she is the only person in her area with a diploma. The lesson I took from this story is that whenever people lack personal identity it can constrain them with their uniqueness and relatively forces those to be slaves to others. Like in the storyplot, Metamorphosis, this lacking of true home, or identity, causes problems in family members as well as with all relationships. "Moss possessed come to our lips-and covered up-our names", (DiYanni, 2007, pg. 126), refers to people who live life not being true to themselves, perish and are appreciated forget about.
