The Problems Of A Young Woman Article

Force depicts the struggles of any young woman, Precious, in whose self-image converts throughout the story as her friends and supporters inspire her. Valuable Jones is actually a young dark women who have been sexually and physically mistreated by both these styles her father and mother from a young age. The atrocities of her the child years, which not only included mistreatment from her parents yet having a baby at age twelve, caused more damage than just what is seen. The mental destruction incurred made her think no better of himself than "black grease being wipe apart, punish, kilt, changed, finded a job for" (31). This seemed to Valuable being dark on the outside was her trouble because inside she was obviously a "white young lady, a real person, inside" of course, if everyone else may see that they will wouldn't misuse her (32). She is as well concerned that no one can find who she actually is because that they read the "file" and "know every mutherfucking thing" (28). Precious's getting pregnant of herself at the beginning of the novel is the fact she is a white girl trapped in a black girl's body and no one different is capable of seeing it because every they discover is her "file, " but at the conclusion of the new, through the assistance of those near to her, Valuable finds her true self-image to be that of a beautiful black girl.

Precious found her true self-image to be regarding a dark-colored girl, but Push describes Precious's unique self-image being that of a white lady. In the novel, Precious says, "My fahver don't see me genuinely. If he did he'd know I had been like a white-colored girl, a real person, inside. He would not really climb on me via forever and stick his dick in me n get me personally inside upon fire Can't he see I am a girl for flowers and thin hay legs and a place inside the picture" (32). In other words, the written text describes Precious's conception...

... 40). This quote emphasizes how the girl views himself as well as just how she opinions her baby: as a part of her own beauty.

Press illustrates the transformative method that Valuable undertook to find her the case self-image: that she is a lovely black young lady inside and out. Valuable originally depicted herself being a white young lady inside that others wasn't able to recognize because the "file" painted what others thought of her, but through the encouragement of these who loved her to raised herself the girl was able to recognize that she was indeed a black girl inside. With out her good friends and supporters, Precious would have never come to appreciate herself mainly because she required others to love and accept her first. To conclude, Push evaluated the changes of Precious's self-image from being of a light girl who no one may see to this of a fabulous black female whom other folks recognized and loved.
