The American Wish Expressed Throughout the Pursuit of Happiness Essays

In the Oxford Book, the American Dream is defined as the traditional cultural ideals of the United States of America: Life, Freedom, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Individuals have the right of life and liberty, nevertheless happiness is not a right. Happiness can only be given by amount of effort a person gives. People who have perseverance to spend their Lifestyle and exercise their Liberty to the success of finding their talent and employ what they just like doing to accomplish a goal. The film, Quest for Happiness, displays the American Dream staying achieved by the primary character, Philip Gardner, by simply working hard and using his talents. Bob Gardner inside the Pursuit of Happyness goes through beating obstacles which will shows that the American Wish is possible through faith, willpower, and a spotlight on family members values.

The American Desire was portrayed through Chris Gardner by simply him beating obstacles with faith. Beliefs in individual effort may be achieved through Chris's personal "American Dream" ("The Quest for Happyness", IMDb). In the beginning, Bob showed trust by trying to sell the bone tissue density reader in order to obtain his American Dream. Actually do doorways were shut in front of him while advertising the scanning devices, he hardly ever gave up. When ever his scanner was stolen, he would not just leave and state whatever. Bob actually tries to retrieve the scanner once again because he acquired faith that he can offer the scanner.

Also, how the economic climate was at that period, having faith helped him achieve the American Desire by spending so much time. As Wayne Bowman explained "Economics, misjudgment of the market continued usana products backlog, almost so difficult to sustain the lives of Gardner" (Bowman, "The Pursuit of Happiness"). ... helps him not to surrender. He requires hard actions during his struggle, yet he had hope that almost everything will be ok. Everything will be okay provided that he performs hard. In the long run, Chris Gardner hard work helped him reach his total goal, pleasure.
