The main character in this play is Macbeth. In function 1 world ii we find out that Macbeth is a superb warrior. The world begins with a struggle against the king and Macbeth. With Macbeth's power and wise view he won the fight. As explained by the captain (I, 2, "but all's too weak"). Macbeth was a really daring nobleman and a Scottish general in the king's army which deserves the name,
Disdaining Fortune, with his
Which smok'd with bloody execution,
Like Valor's minion carv'd out his passage
Till he faced the slave; Which nev'r shook hands, nor bade farewell to him,
Till he unseam'd him from the nave to th' chops,
And fix'd his brain upon our battlements (I. i. 15-23).
From this we can inform that Macbeth fought bravely against Macdonald's military and that he can handle a sword enjoy it was an extension of his own body.
Banquo is another character in the play Macbeth. He was a friend to Macbeth initially. Banquo business lead Duncan's army fighting hand and hand with Macbeth. On the in the past they come across three witches. The witches mentioned that Macbeth will be ruler and Banquo will never be king but he'll construct a type of kings. The only path to make certain that Macbeth could be king of Scotland is to wipe out the ruler himself. Immediately Macbeth enlightened his partner (Lady Macbeth) about the witches. She then persuaded him and accused him to be a coward if he doesn't eliminate the king (Duncan). Macbeth might have supported down if Sweetheart Macbeth didn't encourage him. Although he recognized it was all incorrect right from the start he didn't want his wife to think of him by doing so, so he allows to eliminate Duncan. Despite the fact that he allows to kill the king, Macbeth does value morality and religions. He confirmed in his soliloquy (I, IV, 12-28) where he lists the three reasons why he shouldn't kill Duncan: he is "his kinsman, " "his subject matter" and "his sponsor. " Macbeth provides that "Duncan hath blessed his faculties so meek, hath been so clear in his great office, that his virtues will plead like angels".
They didn't learn how to eliminate Duncan until he organized a visit to the castle that was a great sign. So they developed a plan that was to drug the groom's beverages so that it would make them sleep heavy so Macbeth could eliminate Duncan with a dagger and put it next to the grooms.
After the king's fatality, Macbeth regretted what he previously done and with all the hesitation he also wiped out the drunken guards. This implies that Macbeth is plagued by a guilty conscience.
Methought, I read a tone cry, 'Rest no
Macbeth doth murther Rest, ' --the innocent Sleep,
Sleep that knits up the ravell'd sleave of treatment. . .
Still it cried 'Sleep forget about!' to all the
'Glamis hath murther'd sleeping, and for that reason Cawdor
Shall sleep no more: Macbeth shall sleep forget about!'(II. II. 32-41).
Already being ruler, Macbeth couldn't sleeping easily and feared Banquo because he understands what the witches prophesied and he experienced that Banquo was a threat to him in his future as a king. At that time Macbeth was terrified and will do anything to keep what he has. As of now, Macbeth becomes a cold-blooded killer so he hires three murderers to kill Banquo and his children. After a couple of days Banquo was found lifeless but his son Fleance managed to escape.
After the loss of life of Banquo lady Macbeth and Macbeth set up a banquet and asked all the best people in the country in those days. The feast was going well till Banquo's ghost came out. Macbeth travelled crazy because he was the only one which could start to see the ghost. Everyone began to think of who killed Duncan. In the long run lady Macbeth turned out herself in the scene and committed suicide by Macbeth, he visited warfare with Duncan's sons which he lost and was wiped out.
Many people check out Banquo as the foil of Macbeth. It's true because Macbeth will abide by the three witches' prophecy and helps it along. On the other hand, Banquo questions the prophecies and views it as bad creatures. Macbeth acquired excited that he'll be king so he aided that idea. Banquo continued arguing that evil often offers products that will lead to betrayal and destruction. He also was praying to heaven for help while Macbeth will abide by the witches' offer of darkness. After Banquo perceives Duncan to bed, he says: "There's husbandry in heaven, / their candles are all out" Function II. This premonition of the approaching Darkness is repeated just before he is killed: "it'll be rain tonight", Banquo says his kid Fleance.
Banquo shows a new a reaction to the prophecy. Their reactions are defined in their words when they first start to see the witches. It appears that Macbeth needs them more seriously. Banquo retains his morals, but eventually ends up being killed. He is courageous and ambitious, but this is tempered by intellect. He is one of Macbeth's close friends, but after what they encounter Macbeth anxieties Banquo since it was prophesied that Banquo's offspring would be kings.
At the start Macbeth and Banquo seem identical. Both are generals in Duncan's army, both have done good service in the wars against Norway and were gifted by Duncan because of this. Obviously both have an interest in the witches' prophecy on the other palm Macbeth may be king but Banquo would be the one to produce a type of kings. This creates a spark and will clearly cause envy and jealousy between them, one for immediate success and one for long-term gain.
Even beyond the grave Banquo is constantly on the work for the reality, returning as an unforgiving ghost to haunt Macbeth's conscience and pressure him to admit what he did.
The major change that their relationship proceeded to go throughout play was from the death of Banquo to the start. The camaraderie of Macbeth and Banquo was crushed by their strong variations but they got similarities at fist which made them close enough. You can say that many of their characteristics life afflicted their effects.
In my opinion Banquo considers ambitious thoughts, but he will not convert those thoughts into action. In a way, Banquo's personality stands as an reverse of Macbeth, since he tried to lead him in the correct path but Macbeth didn't take it. Banquo has been a loyal friend also to his king. I liked the actual fact that Banquo's ghost came out rather than the king. I really relished reading the play which taught me lots of things. I am hoping my research was good enough to compare between Macbeth and Banquo.
This research is approximately the similarities and variations between Macbeth and Banquo. With the begging they seem to be equivalent till they encounter three witches which flips the play upside down. It all starts off with camaraderie and ends up with betrayal and loss of life.
