Self-reflection identifies a task or process in which an experience is recalled, considered, and assessed, usually with regards to a broader goal. It is a reply to previous experience and entails conscious recall and study of the knowledge as a basis for evaluation and decision-making so that as a source for planning and action. Self representation is a thinking process in which an individual seriously considers and thoughtfully judges prior connection with the home. The consecutive engagement in representation commonly leads the self to generate an alteration in conceptual perspectives
My short experience in the project allows me to understand and appreciate the skill of self-reflecting. Recording lessons seems to be pretty much the ultimate approach to self-reflection. Reflecting again on one's performance during a lesson is a superb way of detecting and investigating the durability and weaknesses of an lesson. From planning, recording the lesson and finally analyzing the video tracking, I have discovered significant amounts of skills through this task.
There are several blunders that might be avoided in this project. During the saving of the lessons, the school room should be considered a proper classroom with no interruptions such as technician and group users moving around. In connection with the clothing, the students should have been better outfitted as just what a formal course should be. The tracking of the lesson might have been better if by using one camera only with only one cameraman. This way we could prevent the unnecessary school room interruptions with too much cameraman moving around the category.
I am decided given that self-reflection in coaching involves changes in the manner we usually understand teaching and our role along the way of teaching. Instructors who explore their own coaching through critical reflection develop changes in behaviour and awareness that they believe will benefit their professional expansion as educators, as well as improve the kind of support they offer their students. Self-reflection is a valuable tool for self-evaluation and professional growth. I think that experience together is insufficient for professional expansion, but that experience coupled with reflection can be a powerful momentum for instructor development.
Self-reflection entails moving beyond a primary nervous about instructional techniques and "how to" questions and asking "what" and "why" questions that respect instructions and managerial techniques not as leads to themselves, but as part of broader educational purposes. Asking "what and why" questions give us a certain ability over our teaching. We could claim that the amount of autonomy and responsibility we've in our are teachers is determined by the level of control we can exercise over our actions. In reflecting on these kind of questions, we commence to exercise control and open up the opportunity of transforming our everyday school room life.
The process I've been through in concluding this project allows me to assess my understanding of what being a reflective professor really means. I've learned that the technique of recording a lesson for deeper research is the best way to find out information about our own teaching techniques in a lesson, information that is inaccessible through other approach to self-reflection.
There are a number of things that might have been avoided or improved upon regarding this task. I noticed that the lessons needs to be more formal, or as very much like what sort of day-to-day class would be. For the reason that sense, the students would be more in the feeling of formal learning. I'd also recommend the utilization of only 1 cameraman, as to avoid any visible interference of the training video saving, such as another cameraman active trying to track record the lessons.
