The olive tree is considered as an important area of the individuals life and an essential one in the Mediterranean civilization in particular, from the first presence of humanity. For years and years, this tree has satisfied the many basics needs of the man's lifestyle as well as its religious ones. They have left important influences in the essential areas of civilization such as history, mythology, ecology, viewpoint, archeology, remedies and agriculture. The inhabitants of the Mediterranean shores have successively included the olive oil in their world. As an inhabitant of the Mediterranean basin I do consider olive oil as an important ingredient of my lifestyle. Every morning I add this golden compound to my cheese accompanied by a cup of tea, at lunch break to my boiled vegetables and at meal to my pasta. When I've the flu or abdomen aches, my mom offers me a spoon of olive oil or put some of it on my breasts. In other words I grew up and essential olive oil is always within my daily life and unconsciously its lifetime became crucial. Because of this I made a decision to write a paper about the history and the great things about olive oil and its impact on both modern culture and the human body. To add to olive oil to the new generation which its individuals, however, ignore the benefits associated with its components on the health and also to try make a big change in the bad diet plan that the whole people are suffering from it this century. In the first part of my paper I will talk about the history of olive oil: where, by who and when it was learned? What is its influences on the modern culture? And what's its mark in the various religions and mythologies? In the next part I will talk about medical benefits of essential olive oil: how essential olive oil fights cancer? How it prevents from cardiovascular diseases and reinforces body?
The olive tree has old roots, it has existed on earth since prehistory but its origin stays as yet a enigma. Olive tree is recognized as the oldest and the first place cultivated by man and it's been consumed and used before the written terms was created. In Islam, the olive tree was described in the Quran as blessed tree since it is a guide of men on earth and the prophet Muhammed advised his followers to place olive oil with their body when they are ill and to do it again some several verses of the holy Quran. In Christianity it is used in the consecration of kings, priests and prophets and also in the baptism as tool of bless, cover from evil and a sign of the love of god. Further more essential olive oil was also used for light, food, heating and drugs since the old world. It belonged since centuries to the Mediterranean cookery and remedies ( Toussaint samat 127) and was regarded as an essential component of the Mediterranean culture.
