Obsession with ambition eventually triggers heroes, who've achieved greatness, to lose control. These heroes are called tragic heroes. That is true for the men created by William Shakespeare and George Lucas. Macbeth, compiled by Shakespeare, turns wicked, as does Anakin Skywalker from the Legend Wars movies, created by George Lucas. The downfall of both men comes from the numerous problems they may have.
Anakin Skywalker and Macbeth were both heroes at one time. Anakin Skywalker kept a lot of people. What made him a hero was the fact that he was eager to help everybody. During the war, the individuals were depending on Anakin. He also experienced a best ally and coach in his past master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. "They may be deeper than friends. Closer than brothers". Macbeth got also done many heroic serves. He had kept many soldiers on the battlefield. He was a General in the Scottish army and a genuine conflict hero. "But all's too weak; For courageous Macbeth, Disdaining bundle of money, with his brandished metal. . . . " In the very beginning of the play, Macbeth will save Scotland and restores peace with help from his best friend, Banquo. Macbeth also looks up to Duncan, the King of Scotland.
Anakin Skywalker and Macbeth both got a tragic flaw that led them down the road to the dark area. Anakin has always possessed anger, fear, and a desire for more vitality. Macbeth in addition has experienced similar ambitions and desires for vitality. Once Macbeth hears of the witch's prophecies, he starts thinking bad thoughts and murderous ideas. He considers doing it, but has interior conflicts about it. Both men possessed evil influences in their lives. Anakin experienced Palpatine manipulating him since he was a small boy, and Macbeth had the witches to provide him wicked thoughts. "Know Banquo was your opponent. " Both men had dreams about their own empires. They also devoted many murders which were not necessary. Both men liked their wives. Both were obsessed. Anakin's major reason for embracing the dark part was to save lots of Padme, his partner, from dying. Macbeth allowed his partner to persuade him to murder Duncan and do other bad deeds. Anakin Skywalker and Macbeth got many things in common with the circumstances in becoming wicked.
Both Anakin Skywalker and Macbeth realized they cannot live this way. Anakin redeemed himself in the long run. Macbeth had the ability to, but didn't. Anakin cannot stand experiencing his boy dying. He destroyed his evil effect, Palpatine. By doing this, he satisfied his destiny and helped bring balance to the pressure. Anakin Skywalker perished peacefully in his son's occurrence. "Help me take this cover up off, let me look upon you with my very own eyes". Macbeth did not destroy his evil influence, the witches, but he do recognize their wicked intentions. He came to the realization that their prophecies were meant to deceive him. Macbeth became a warrior again. He died with honor, bravely. "Yet I will try the last. Before my body I toss my warlike shield. Lay on, Macduff. . . . " Macbeth almost redeemed himself when he put his sword down, but he refused to surrender. Macbeth can be an example of a vintage tragic hero, whereas Anakin is no longer a tragic hero by redeeming himself.
Anakin Skywalker and Macbeth are both great types of a tragic hero. These were once great heroes who provided into the dark area. Later Anakin redeemed himself, however Macbeth did not.
