Evaluation of Lifestyle for late 1960s The year late 1960s was a moments of war, civil rights actions, and riots. Many big events took place during late 1960s. Many lives were improved by these types of events. Out if the 1960's, 1968 stands apart the most. In January of 1968 america thought that the Vietnam War was arriving at a close, yet President Johnson made a press release that changed the way of Vietnam. President Meeks said the South Vietnamese could not win. This caused the Southern Vietnamese could hardly win. This caused the South Vietnamese to launch the Tet Offensive. This shocked the United States, and induced the battle to stick around on for many more years. The Tet Offensive pass on from the towns of Mekong Delta, to Saigon, and north to the highlands. In February of 1968 main politicians spoke against the Vietnam War. Ny senator Robert Kennedy, a Democrat, revealed a blistering attack on the war by simply charging that there was certainly not "any prospect" for success. Another senator Jacob Javits, called armed service victory "illusory" he said, "it is time to end the Americanization of the war". Vietnam brought on many arguments, and this broke up households due to men and women losing their very own lives to serve their particular country. During 1968 there were many concerns about the presidency. On March 23, 1968 within a decision that stunned political friends and many others, President Johnson announced that he'd not look for, nor will he agree to the nomination of his party intended for president.
