George Washington was born February 22, 1732. He was chosen as the first director by the Electoral College all in 1789. Washington is commonly called the "Father of his country" since this individual played a serious role in fighting pertaining to independence and helped form the government we now have. Many of his leadership practices became website for the way in which politics include proceeded subsequent his terms. For example his use of a group of counselors termed as a "cabinet" remains in practice today. He simply served for two terms and after that stepped straight down which started to be, for the most part, the accepted tradition for upcoming presidents. George Washington can be associated with some folklore reports such as staying widely known for admitting to his father that this individual chopped down a cherry wood tree proclaiming that he could not tell a rest. George Washington was obviously a colonist, and like many colonists he disapproved with the stamp work that was imposed within the colonies simply by British law. Also like a lot of his fellow colonists his opposition to the stamp act alone has not been enough to venture to war up against the British empire. It had been not until the Townshend act was announced and integrated that he began to take a respected role in opposing the British pushes.
