The lessons I have decided to present is definitely one contrasting and contrasting cats and dogs and is also directed to a category of 3 rd grade English language learners (ELs). I have used a Venn picture and utilized the information from my SIOP Lesson Plan to provide me with the basis needed to present a well-organized and educational demonstration. The presentation is in-line to the Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Support Standards (INTASC) and the Arizona Professional Teacher's Standards (APTS). The lesson plan applies implementation of both content and vocabulary objectives, provides hands-on activities, and provides me personally with a selection of resources and materials to effectively support me in achieving the aim of teaching the EL turn into proficient in all their new language.
