I chose to read the novel "Snow" by Orhan Pamuk pertaining to my publication report. The novel "Snow" is about a poet known as Ka who is a politics exile living in Germany. Ka travels to Istanbul to go to his mother's funeral and it is asked by a friend in a local paper to travel to the location of Kars to write about the municipal elections and a line of suicides being committed by Islamist women who happen to be being forced to take off their headscarves at school. Ka has been suffering from writers stop while residing in Germany. Upon his go back to Kars, poetry begin to begin coming to him. Throughout the novel, Ka provides poems come to him after a significant event happens or the moment something inspires him. Ka ends up writing 19 poems during his stay in Kars. When the citizens of Kars find out that an esteemed poet person is getting back to Kars, they insist that he browse one of his poems ahead of the town at the National Cinema.
Ka gets to the town of Kars during a severe winter storm and is barely in a position to make it to this town. Upon coming to the town, Ka reconnects with a woman that he had emotions for if he was youthful. Her name is Ipek and she actually is recently divorced from her husband Muhtar. While Ka is meeting with Ipek at a local café, a Muslim extremist who blames the overseer for the suicide of any woman called Teslime kills the local representative of the Company of Education in the café. Ka and Ipek keep the café after the local director from the Institute of Education is usually shot. Ka goes to notify Ipek's ex-husband, Muhtar, that is currently running towards become the creciente of Kars. The two speak about Ipek and exactly how Muhtar seems bad regarding the way this individual treated her while these people were married. He confesses that he would like to repair his relationship with her. Muhtar insists that Ka florida...

Ka ended up being wiped out about some years after he still left the town of Kars. No-one ever found his fantastic, but it was believed to be a follower of Blue who had vowed vengeance for his death. The narrator with the story went back to Kars to retrace the steps of his good friend Ka, so that they can find his book of poetry that he had written while in Kars.
