Essay upon Analysis In the Book ' Young Goodman Brown ' By Nathaniel Hawthorne

The book The bedford summary of literature contains three tales by Nathaniel Hawthorne. The first story ‘young goodman brown" is around a man who travels in to the forest to see a satanic ritual. This individual rejects the offer to participate and lives disconnected in the others since they were section of the ritual. Another story "The minister 's black veil" is about a person refusing for taking off a veil possibly upon death which results in the people of the town judging him. Finally in "The birthmark" a man of science is attempting to remove a mark coming from his better half cheek which can be the only thing keeping her coming from being perfect. The man works in removing the indicate but results in killing his wife. Though all three with the stories have different details, they each seem to suggest that an individual 's inability to accept the imperfections in being human leads to an unhappy end.

In the short history "young goodman brown" by Nathaniel hawthorne the protagonist fails to acknowledge the imperfection of those around him. As the sun was setting in salem the protagonist goodman brown was on his way to the forest. After he said his farewells to his wife to his wife, goodman turned back to see her "still peeping after him with a melancholy air, regardless of her lilac ribbons"(398). Mcdougal mentions the pink frills on faith because the color pink signifies her chasteness. Although the color pink being created from white and red also discloses her to never be and so innocent as if so at the start. Just as goodman goes into the forest this individual encounters the devil and they walk together to their destination. In the process he finds out people who goodman though were pure turn out not to become. Once goodman got to the meeting organised by the satan, there "he recognized a score of t...

... has "rejected the best the planet could offer"(427). Aylmer tried to change those that have made her human being and that received her slain. Aylmer couldn 't agree to human flaw to the point where this got her wife wiped out.

Ultimately all three short stories written by Nathaniel hawthorne have a very similar idea. In the tale "young goodman brown" the protagonist goodman sees the evil part of being human and chooses not to acknowledge it, departing him to live an remote life. In that case in the brief story "The minister is black veil"the protagonist unearths the hypocrisy of those around him simply by revealing that they would jude him to get his secret sin but is not see their particular. Finally in the short tale "The birthmark" aylmer struggles to accept a persons imperfection anytime. As a result of declining to accept the imperfections that come with human nature, mcdougal reveals it will eventually end in a miserable way.
