Hamlet – A Emotional Drama
In writing Hamlet, William Shakespeare plumbed the depths of the mind from the protagonist, Royal prince Hamlet, to such an degree that this enjoy can correctly be considered a mental drama.
Robert B. Heilman in "The Role We offer Shakespeare" explores some of the internal aspects of the play and concludes it is psychologically "whole":

Gunnar Bokland in "Judgment in Hamlet" explains Shakespeare's attraction for the psychological dimension of the episode:
In the misfortune of Hamlet Shakespeare does not concern him self with the query whether blood-revenge is justified or certainly not; it is brought up only once and incredibly late by protagonist (v, ii, 63-70) and never dreamed about. The dramatic and emotional situation rather than the moral concern is what seems to have attracted William shakespeare, and he chose to develop it, inspite of the hard-to-digest and at occasions a little imprecise, elements it could involve [... ]#@@#@!.
