Essay about Looking Further than the Bottom Line

Searching Beyond the results

Production of "low value products" is usually difficult to motivate in capitalist economies, nevertheless the task may be accomplished when ever viewed by a broadly-defined economic perspective. The key negative aspect at issue is the fact that "low value products" deter from a company's "bottom line" income. A business economic benefit is diluted both immediately and not directly when "low value products" are under consideration. Genetic architectural is critically confronted with these kinds of conflicts of interest. The technological aspects of innate engineering have to a supplementary level as economic considerations force themselves to the front of this controversy.

The immediate impact of "low worth products" is by definition limited profitability devoid of exponentially significant sales numbers. The roundabout impact is usually that the low value products reflect resources faraway from investment in high value products at all stages of exploration, development, creation and advertising. Economically, the situation facing low value items is production costs increasing above the product's selling price. In a few manufacturing situations, the largest element of the production cost structure is expenditure on labor. This situation may not regularly exist in terms of genetically manufactured products, but does light up an interesting position of the situation. The low selling price of the product is not necessarily one of the most problematic as the situation may also be considered among high labor costs. Put simply, supply area characteristics will be perhaps the even more viable options for a solution than demand part manipulation. Changing individual consumer actions are much more daunting than changing market supply motivation.
