There was a false impression that Photography equipment people would not have virtually any culture and they were not civil. But they had a culture that was comparable to that of the Europeans and other races. However it was cut off when the Europeans decided to take them from The african continent and hair transplant them in the united states as slaves. As a result, their authentic civilizations were significantly changed in the way of life inside their native Africa to life in the plantation world of the Americas. In this essay, I will attempt to show the way the conditions of enslavement disrupted all dimensions of the African's authentic culture. To aid during my analysis, I will be using the "Reid Culture Issue Model" as a guide and also drawing after the performs of Olaudah Equiano, Opportunity Smith, Frederick Douglas, Harriet Jacobs, and William Water wells Brown, the song "Pick a Bale of Cotton" from The Norton Anthology of African American Literature, as well as in the movie NightJohn.
The friends and family structure in Africa was complex. Guys were in order to keep many wives legally. As Opportunity Smith a slave by Guinea claims "My father had three wives. Polygamy want not uncommon in that country, especially among the list of rich, as every guy was allowed to keep numerous wives as he could maintain" (170-171). Furthermore to having multiple wives, there were also a number of children and slaves. In his narrative, Oludah Equiano, a great African through the village of Essaka indicates, ""My dad, besides a large number of slaves, had a numerous family, of which eight lived to grow up, including personally and a sister, who was the only daughter" (200). The family devices in The african continent were very close knit.
