Research Design

This research use a descriptive correlational analysis design and involve the following variables: Structural Empowerment and Job Satisfaction in nursing educators. That is a non-experimental descriptive correlational research that does not change or control the independent variable which is the nursing educators. The experts, predicated on the descriptive design, will summarize the phenomena detected within the natural environment without manipulation and also establish a correlation to determine the romance between structural empowerment and job satisfaction. A longitudinal design, studies samples over the time period to show movements and expansion changes across a course of time, which the researchers didn't deem necessary at this time in time for the study ( possibly for future experts that replicate this study). Respondents of the Study

This research will only utilize nursing educators in the Philippines specifically nursing educators employed in the Metro Manila Area and much more precisely the institutions in the School Belt. Sampling Technique

Data Gathering Instrument

The two major variables in the study will be measured by the next questionnaires: Conditions for Work Efficiency - II (CWEQ-II) for structural empowerment and Mueller and McCloskey Satisfaction Size. Permission to utilize these tools were granted (see Appendix) -- still holding out on email and reply from the authors*

The review will utilize the Conditions for Work Performance - II (CWEQ-II) for structural empowerment produced by Dr. Heather K. Spence Laschinger which is dependant on Kanter's theory of structural empowerment. *Keep this here I haven't seen the questionnaire anyhow since the publisher hasn't emailed me but this is an excellent reference just incase its from a site im uncertain if its reliable so hold off upon this part* The tool involves 19 items (39 questions) that measure Kanter's 6 components of structural empowerment detailed by opportunity, information, support, resources, formal vitality, and informal electric power and a 2-item global empowerment level which is employed for construct validation purposes. Items on each one of the six subscales are summed and averaged to provide a score for every subscale which range from 1-5. These scores of the 6 subscales are then summed to create the total empowerment report (rating range: 6-30). Higher ratings stand for higher perceptions of empowerment.

The McCloskey Mueller Satisfaction Scale was developed by Charles W. Mueller and Joanne Comi McCloskey. In this article printed in the Academy of Management Journal 1990, the MMSS is said to be a reliable and valid measurement for job satisfaction in nurses. The McCloskey Mueller device being created for health care configurations, dominated the other devices in conditions of the combo of psychometric properties and ease of use. The MMSS is a 31 item questionnaire with the sub scales of: Extrinsic rewards, scheduling satisfaction, famly/work balance, co-workers, interaction, professional opportunities, praise/recognition, control and responsibility global range. Validation of Research Instrument

The Conditions for Work Success - II (CWEQ-II) for structural empowerment and Mueller and McCloskey Satisfaction Level questionnaires will be pre- examined to a go for variety of respondents like the determined sample size, this will ensure inside validation of the tools and determine if the tools effectively assess what is needed by the analysts and that the respondents have no difficulty in responding to the questionnaires. Data Gathering Process

The data gathering process begins and is determined by the acquiescence of the Dean of Nursing of each college and university selected in the study to permit their faculty to participate in the study. If the correct permissions have been awarded, the time period for supervision of the questionnaires will be the school season 2014-2015 in the months of June to August. The full total respondents for every single college and school will be identified and in line with honest and privacy concerns, will be informed about the confidentiality of the results and if considered necessary the results will be forwarded at the Deans need. As specific respondent agreement is granted the respondent will get the questionnaires to be fulfilled and collected by the appointed liaison within the institution to be forwarded to the experts. The data will be collated from the universites and colleges preferred and tallied based on the scoring scales for every single questionnaire.
