Aldous Huxley's Daring New World

Brave new world is a research fiction booklet written in 1931by Aldous Huxley and deals with just how things might turn out to be in the future. The book is set in London of Advertisement 2540 and the reserve anticipates the changes in the culture from the introduction of both reproductive systems as well as sleep-learning. Within this book Huxley details the near future to be embodied with ideals that are incredibly organized in a way that one loses one sense of self.

Exile in Daring New World

In the Daring new world the exile experience is common and several character types experience some form and shape of it during the book. Such form of exile is visible in form of alienation and otherness or the fact of being not the same as the rest of the group. In his publication Aldous use the theme of exile as a way of expressing his ideas and fantasies about the life in the daring new world. The theme of exile has been experienced by various heroes in the e book either directly for Helmholtz, Bernard and Linda or indirectly as for John and Mustapha Mond (Postman, 1985).

To begin with Johns experiences a lot of alienation or exile kind of treatment in the book brave " new world " which is apparent from the first occasion where we find him to be cursed to a life of isolation or exiled from all of those other world of the savages due to his appearance, the worth he holds and is also outrageous thoughts. Such identity of being the other exiled him emotionally, literally as well as emotionally both in the savage culture and the globe state culture because he finds himself torn between conforming to the society with same time keeping true to his virtues.

Therefore, being different exiles John to an environment of alienation and despite attempting to fit into the contemporary society of the savages his different looks from those of all of those other Indians on the reservation hampers his potential to squeeze in the savage population and this is noticeable when he is rejected the rites of passage or the rituals where he could give his life to the population. John points out that he could have gone round ten times, twelve and even fifteen but they couldn't allow him because of his complexion and that is definitely the case (Higgins & Higgins, 2000).

This function of denial simply because he is nothing like them exiles him to world of isolation and he obviously is aware that. Being exiled to the individuality of the other John is definitely shunned, disliked and mocked because, the Indians were dark skinned who fiercefuly looked down on the light skinned people presumably from the 'other place'. John also experienced exiled from all of those other Indian boys because of this of the promiscuous actions of his mom and was sometimes referred to as 'white hair' or kid of 'she-dog' and such words smashed his spirits each time he tried out to take part with them. The thrills that John shows when Bernard assures to take him and his mother to the brave new world shows that he highly anticipates to be placed free from an exiled life he leads in the land of the savages (Huxley, 2005).

Theme of exile in the reserve brave " new world " is also portrayed by Linda, mother to John who's very promiscuous and ignores the rules of the reservation lands and such function puts her in regular trouble with the inhabitants who resented her promiscuity and her intake of liquor. Linda after being deserted by the director in the reservation land she's never built in the culture of the savages because she breaks the rules hence being ostracized by the population.

Linda in exiled in the limbo as she tries to are in both the reservation contemporary society and her prior new daring world. He shows his son to read which is resistant to the brave new world but at same time is promiscuous and takes liquor. Therefore Linda spends the majority of her life being exiled in the worlds of in-between as she can't totally match either of the societies.

Bernard Marx is another identity in the reserve brave new world that experience exile as he has an inferiority organic which results from his small height that resulted during his faulty decantation process. His shortens as compared to his caste members make him to be ridiculed and mocked which delivers him to exile from the world as he becomes isolated from the rest.

In addition to that Bernard doesn't believe in the promiscuous aspect which his society permits and is quite aligned to monogamous kind of life which exhibits the type of man before the Ford which separated notion exiles him from all of those other savage society who holds a complete contradictory belief that sex is ideal for recreation somewhat than for reproduction and that people should have love-making with as much partners as possible (Huxley, 1998).

In addition compared to that Mustapha Mond who is citizen of the world controller of western Europe and one of the ten world controllers experience exile in his life-style as he was obligated to abandon his once ambitious profession in physics and given the decision of training as a world controller. Quitting his technology for the censoring of clinical discoveries as well as exiling of men and women for unorthodox beliefs exiles him from what he has always presumed and stood for.

This is obviously visible as he always maintains a collection of forbidden literature in his safe including the Shakespeare's and other religious writings. All these serve to imply Mond is leading a life of exile in the brave new world.
